Recently our own, Russell Price, was selected among Post-Tensioning Institute nominees, honored with the PTI Legends of Post-Tensioning Award, and inducted into the PTI Hall of Fame for making significant long-term contributions to the development of the post-tensioning industry in North America.
The PTI Hall of Fame was established in 2005 to recognize the pioneers, prominent individuals, and exceptionally talented individuals who have achieved success in the post-tensioning industry.
Russ has been with Suncoast since 1991, where he serves as the Executive Vice President – leading the high-rise building group and all technical activity. Aside from his contributions as a principal author for several PTI publications, Russ has also held several leadership positions within the Post-Tensioning Institute including past President, Board of Directors, Finance Committee, numerous technical committees and a Fellow. He is also a participating member of ACI and the Structural Engineers Association of Texas.
In 1972, Russ began his professional career with a consulting engineering firm and later moved into construction. For the past 46 years, he’s been directly involved in the design, fabrication of materials and construction of both slab-on-ground and elevated floor slabs using post-tensioning.
